The citizens of Olbia granted (<foreign xml:lang="grc">ἔδωκαν</foreign>) to Chairigenes of Mesembria son of Metrodoros himself and his descendants (<foreign xml:lang="grc">αὐτῶι καὶ ἐκγόνοις</foreign>) proxeny, citizenship, freedom from taxation on all the goods (<foreign xml:lang="grc">ἀτέλειαν πάντων χρημάτων</foreign>) he himself or his children or his brothers, with whom he shares his paternal possessions (<foreign xml:lang="grc">οἷς κοινὰ τὰ πατρῶια</foreign>), or his slaves may import or export (<foreign xml:lang="grc">ὧν ἂν αὐτὸς εἰσάγηι ἢ ἐξάγηι ἢ παῖδες ἢ ἀδελφοὶ <gap reason="omitted" extent="unknown" unit="character"/> ἢ θεράπων</foreign>), and the right to sail in and sail out (<foreign xml:lang="grc">καὶ εἴσπλουν καὶ ἔκπλουν</foreign>) in peace and in war inviolably and without a truce (<foreign xml:lang="grc">ἀσυλὲ καὶ ἀσπονδέ</foreign>).</p>
